Whit Stillman is interviewed in both of these youtube videos. One for a podcast for JasonCritic & another for HeyUGuys.
Both interviews shed light on the making of the film and also reveal the choice of costumes. I’ve heard some complain about the costumes not being Jane Austen enough, but if they knew the period of the film (1790s), they would know that the costume choices are accurate for the time.
As you know, Love in Friendship is in theaters almost everywhere, so check your local listings.
Whit Stillman was recently interviewed by the Rotten Tomatoes Podcast. The interview primarily deals with his new Amazon show The Cosmopolitans. Whit Stillman states on twitter that seven more scripts have been ordered by Amazon. In the meantime take a listen to the podcast.
Eigeman talks about his work on Stillman’s films, his taste in music, his directing/writing projects and how he is working on a horror film. He also reveals that the scene where he is convincing Tom that he may be the downtrodden, was his first time on camera.
