I recently noticed an interview with Stillman from 2000, by Gerald Peary, which wasn’t included on this site until now. He talks about The Last Days of Disco, With Cocktails at Petrossian Afterwards: “The humor is like the 1920s, The New Yorker when it was funny.”
Eric Burritt writes to point out there’s an audiobook of Cocktails at Petrossian at Audible.com, read by Whit Stillman. It currently costs US$4.59 and lasts 15 minutes “unabridged”. I’m guessing then that this is a short story, rather than the full novel The Last Days of Disco, With Cocktails at Petrossian Afterwards.
