Cocktails at Petrossian audiobook

Eric Burritt writes to point out there’s an audiobook of Cocktails at Petrossian at Audible.com, read by Whit Stillman. It currently costs US$4.59 and lasts 15 minutes “unabridged”. I’m guessing then that this is a short story, rather than the full novel The Last Days of Disco, With Cocktails at Petrossian Afterwards.

Eric also ovserves that in this National Review interview, which we’ve linked to before, Stillman says that, “I think there’s a Metropolitan novel listed on the Internet websites because I was going to do that, but I ended up not writing it, and they didn’t publish it.” So I’ve struck out mention of the novel on our own Books page!

I did buy it and it is Whit Stillman reading from chapter 27 of “The Last Days of Disco, With Cocktails at Petrossian Afterwards”. It runs 14 minutes and 33 seconds long. It can be put into iTunes or Windows Media Player. I found it to be a worthy curio to my collection.
