Malkovich and Sarsgaard “attached” to Little Green Men

The Reno Gazette-Journal has a very brief chat with Whit Stillman to ask him what he’s been up to.

Of the scripts he’s been working on recently he says:

“The first of them, a story set in Jamaica in the early 1960s, should go before too long. Thanks to the producer Ed Pressman, I’m also working on the film adaptation of Chris Buckley’s UFOs over Washington novel Little Green Men.”

There are many variables in getting a film made, and Stillman couldn’t offer a time line for his movies. He does, however, hope to get them going soon. What’s more, he said, John Malkovich and Peter Saarsgard are attached to Little Green Men.

He also says that Chris Eigemen, who has appeared in Stillman’s films, has written and directed a film, Turn the River. IMDb says it’s currently in post-production.
